Built for homes, not facilities
Maeve is for Arizona homes licensed for ten residents or fewer, where the owner is often the manager, the scheduler, and a caregiver in the same week. Everything in it assumes a phone in a hallway, not a workstation in an office.
Medication administration
Every dose ties back to an active practitioner order, including over-the-counter medication. Administration and assistance with self-administration are handled as the separate things the rules say they are.
Records that hold up
Nothing is overwritten and nothing is made illegible. A correction is a new entry that points at the original, and every signature carries the account, the device, and the server's own clock.
Service plans on a clock
Initial plans, reviews at the interval the resident's care level requires, and updates after a significant change. Maeve tracks the dates so you are not keeping them in a calendar.
Staff eligibility before the shift
Training, CPR and first aid, TB, fingerprint card, and the APS check all have expiry dates. Maeve checks them when you schedule somebody rather than when a surveyor does.
Incidents and state deadlines
The reporting clocks are built in rather than configurable, because they are not ours to change. Maeve counts the working days and tells you what is due.
Survey binder export
ADHS can ask for documentation and expect it within two hours. Maeve assembles it from the records you have already been keeping.
The reasoning behind it
Compliance software usually asks you to do your job and then separately prove you did it. Maeve treats finishing the task as the proof: a dose recorded at the bedside is the medication record, the fire drill you logged is the drill documentation, and the survey binder is assembled from what is already there.
